• Product Safety:  Includes requirements to address product safety considerations throughout the product lifecycle. Examples of activities to consider:

  • Assessment of hazards and mitigation of associated risks

  • Management of safety critical items

  • Analysis and reporting of occurred events affecting safety

  • Communication of these events and training of personnel 

• Human Factors: Requirement to include the human factors considerations in the root causes analysis of nonconformity

• Counterfeit Parts: Requirements for prevention of counterfeit parts

  • Controls for acquiring parts

  • Assuring traceability

  • Verification and test methodologies
